Will my Sky box still record if I cancel?
I have a Sky+ box that is only used for recording.
When you cancel your subscription your Sky+ box will still work and using your now deactivated viewing card you will still be able to receive a handful of unencrypted free-to-view (FTV) channels, including BBC1, 2, ITV1, C4 and C5.
What happens if you cancel your Sky subscription?
To cancel your Sky TV subscription you need to contact us and give us 31 days’ notice, unless you’re within your cooling off period. Please don’t cancel your Direct Debit or any other ongoing payment with us, as further payments may still be due.
Can I still record on Sky without subscription?
Sky boxes can now record without a sky channel subscription, previously £120 a year just enable recording.
How long does it take for Sky to cancel?
Your cancellation period depends on the service. For example, a minimum 31 days’ notice is required to cancel Sky TV and a minimum 14 days for Sky Talk and Broadband.
Can I cancel my Sky contract if they increase the price?
If you’re not happy with the price hike, you may be able to exit your contract with Sky penalty-free. If you’re still within your minimum term for a Sky broadband or phone contract and are affected by these price increases, you CAN cancel it without paying an early termination charge.
Do I have to return sky box?
