Freesat is a digital satellite TV service from the BBC and ITV, offering even more free channels than are available on Freeview.
As with Freeview, there are no ongoing fees and you don’t have to worry about a contract – but you’ll need a dish fitted to your home to receive Freesat.
Is Netflix free on Freesat?
Netflix has launched on UK free-to-air digital satellite platform Freesat via its Freetime connected TV service. Freesat already offers great choice with over 200 subscription free channels and popular On Demand players. And with the launch of Netflix that choice is getting bigger and better.
Which is better Freesat or Freeview?
Freesat is a good choice if you have an existing satellite dish or live in an area with poor Freeview reception. Otherwise, the lack of Channel 4 HD and All 4 puts Freesat at a slight disadvantage despite the fact that, on paper, it includes more channels.

Can I get Freesat without a dish?
To receive Freesat channels, you need a dish. However, the TV will still pick up regular terrestrial (ie BBC1 – Ch 5) and all the Freeview, through a normal aerial. you can then access the additional Freesat channels at a later stage, once you get the dish.
