Do you need a joey with the hopper?
You need the Hopper as it has the tuners, Joeys are for adding additional tv’s to the system. If you have one tv, you do not need any Joey’s.

How does the hopper connect to Joey?
Link the Joey to your Hopper
Select the Hopper you want the new Joey to be linked to, then press Select again to link. After the screen shows “Linked” on the right, select the Next button.
