Freeview Play is now home to more than 70 digital TV channels, as well as 15 HD channels and 25 radio stations.

Can I watch Freeview play without Internet?
You’ll need a Freeview Play TV or recorder, a working TV aerial, and broadband access so you can connect to the internet. If you can’t see programmes when you scroll back in the TV guide, then you’re not connected to the web.
Does Freeview play record?
Yes, and the easiest way to do it is to get a Freeview HD Recorder or Freeview Play Recorder. With a Freeview HD Recorder you record a show by clicking on the TV Guide, highlighting and then selecting the show you want to record. Choose to record a single programme, or a whole series.
Can I install Freeview play on my TV?
Freeview Play is not like a Smart TV platform that offers streaming apps such as Netflix or Amazon Instant Video. The connected content on offer will relate only to channels in the Freeview line-up, so it is up to those broadcasters to jump on board.
Can you pause Freeview play?
To pause live TV all you do is press the Pause button on the Freeview HD Recorder remote control. Then press Play to start watching again. If you miss something when you’re watching live TV just press rewind and you can watch it again. (This only works on the channel you are watching.)

Freeview Play is now available on selected Sony Bravia TV models. The subscription free catch-up and on-demand platform provides access to BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Demand 5 and UKTV Play. Sony continues to support YouView on its Android models. Freeview Play will be on Linux-based sets.
